ABOUT

Nadia Fortini is an award-winning director and writer working in New York City, Los Angeles and Warsaw

 

She was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, but moved to New York after receiving a scholarship at the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned her BFA graduating with full honors.  

 

Nadia's first short film "Sen O Warszawie", starring polish actress Helena Englert, received critical acclaim from the public. Her second film "We Carry It Around" has won multiple awards at international film festivals and premiered at the Katra Film Series, playing at the Regal Cinemas in Times Square. Her newest film and NYU thesis "The Space Between" was the recipient of the highly-esteemed Chris Columbus award. 

 

Nadia wrote a 6 episode limited series commissioned by Netflix. Her play "Sent from my Phone" was part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024. Her debut feature "Rusalki" is in development.

 

Additionally, Nadia enjoys other visual mediums such as studio art and photography. She is also a TikTok content creator with over 20k followers.
